Friends

Happy Monday! I finished working on a layout yesterday that all started with a product challenge kit from TSF that contained gorgeous Cosmo Cricket papers and some fun little embellies! Then I found a great sketch at Once Upon A Sketch and decided to play along with their challenge.

I turned the sketch sideways and went with a 'friends' theme as that was one of the challenges on the TSF Back-to-School On-Line Crop. I used a photo of Spencer and Danielle that I took this summer. They are more than just cousins - they are best friends that always get along and support each other even though they live far apart.

I had fun using all my favorite techniques: distressing, sewing, paint splatters! I also loved adding a bit of lace, making an accordion flower and doing a paper ruffle!

Part of the challenge at OUAS was to add journalling directly on your photo. I used small alpha stickers to say what this photo was all about - cousins... friends!

Last, but not least, I added my signature button - my all time favorite embellie!

I hope you have a wonderful week with lots of time for scrapbooking. Thanks for looking :)

  8. Hi Joanne. This is so gorgeous. I can see you did indeed had lots of fun with some familiar techniques and the button does look gorgeous too.

How wonderful that they are more than cousins. Sometimes distance does not mean a thing if you get along does it? I know my cousins and I live in different countries and although I see them every 10 years its like we were not apart more than a day!

Thanks so much for playing along with us at OUAS. Hope to see you again.
