Little Red Wagon #287 - "B"lieve It!

It's Wednesday and time for another challenge at Little Red Wagon.  Jan wants us to use things that start with the letter 'B' on our projects this week.

What a fun challenge!  I decided to make a card using a sweet image from Saturated Canary called Hand Me Downs.

It was such a delight to bring this image to life using my Copic markers.  She is just so adorable and I was pleased with the color combination I chose.  I used blue and brown markers (that's 2 B's!) along with a gorgeous shade of peach/orange on her outfit.  I also decided to make her a brunette (another B).

To finish up the card, I used a gorgeous paper with a brocade print and a punched out border (2 more B's).  Then I added a blue flower and some bling, and there is also black cardstock matting the papers.  And oh yes... little miss Hand Me Downs is sporting braids!  So even though I didn't use a button (my signature embellie), I still managed to score 9 B's. I am sure there will be debate as to whether or not all my B's really count, but I had lots of fun doing this challenge and counting all the B's.  Thanks Jan!

I hope you decide to play along this week.  Be sure to link up your creation at Little Red Wagon!

Little Red Wagon #286 - Seeing Spots!

It is my turn to post the challenge at Little Red Wagon this week and I want to see spots, dots and/or blots on your project :)

For inspiration I created this cute little card using a Birdbrain Digital image.

The flower pot in the image has dots, as do my blue and yellow patterned papers!

So, are you seeing spots?  I hope so :)  Just create something fabulous and then link it up at Little Red Wagon.  I will be sure to visit your blog and you might even be featured next Tuesday!

Have fun creating ~

Little Red Wagon #285 - Travelogue

Heather is posting the challenge at Little Red Wagon this week and she wants to see a project inspired by another country.  Hmmm... good challenge!

I really didn't have any idea what to do for this challenge until I found a little piece of leftover paper that had a globe on it.  Then I thought of adding a die-cut of the Eiffel Tower and I was off and running!

The best part was when I thought I was finished with my card but then I found a little Eiffel Tower charm that I could add to the top. How perfect!

I created the sentiment on my computer.

I hope you decide to join in the fun this week!  Stop over to Little Red Wagon and check out the designs from the Girlfriends.  Then link up your own creation.  We will be sure to visit your blog :)

Little Red Wagon Challenge #284 - Spring Is In The Air

Collette is in the mood for Spring this week at Little Red Wagon.  And along with Spring comes flowers, so she wants us to use a strong floral theme on our design.

I went with something totally different for my project this time.

I created a tag and used a Julie Nutting Paper Doll stamp on it. Everything about the doll is paper pieced and hand cut!  Yes, it took a very long time and lots of patience to cut out all the bits and pieces.  The trickiest were her very little, teenie, tiny, hard to hold shoes!

In keeping with the challenge, I used some yummy flowers and colored two of them with my Copic markers to match the colors of her dress.  I also used a pretty floral patterned paper on her skirt.  I loved clustering all the bits and pieces that I had in my stash and I am happy with how it all came together!

So what do you think when you think Spring flowers?  Check out the creations that the rest of the DT Girlfriends made!  Then get creative and link it up at Little Red Wagon.  Happy Spring!!

Happy Easter!

I wanted to share this cute little Easter card I recently made.

I used a stamp by C.C. Designs and my Copic markers to color it in.  I also used a stitched circle die from Lawn Fawn that I just love!

I hope you have a wonderful Easter!

Little Red Wagon #283 - Call The Vet!

Susie wants us to 'Call the Vet' this week at Little Red Wagon!  Not literally, I hope! lol  She actually wants us to use an animal or animal print on our card.

I went with a sweet image from Sassy Cheryl for this week's challenge.

I just love this image (Thick as Thieves) and I colored it with my Copics to match the fabulous papers I had!

I even did a little paper piecing on the dog house and bowl!  I cut out a second one of each and layered them on the card for some extra dimension.

Will you join in the fun this week?  Just simply make up a card that has an animal or animal print on it and link it up at Little Red Wagon!  We would love to see what you create :)
