I can't believe it is Wednesday already! It snuck up on me this week and I actually had to get up and create my card for Little Red Wagon this morning. Yikes!
But here it is!
Rosanne challenged us to use a vintage item on our creation this week. So I dug through my wagon looking for anything that had a vintage feel to it and I came up with a few!
The lace, the rosette, the vintage hair clip (by Teresa Collins) all seemed to fit the challenge. And with a little Best Wishes sentiment I was good to go!
Thanks for a fun challenge Rosanne! Now I have to go and tidy up the mess I made while I was digging through my wagon :) Have a great Wednesday!

On-Line Crop
There is a Chase Away the Winter Blahs On-Line Crop taking place on the Two Scrapbook Friends Forum! It started yesterday and runs until next Sunday, March 4th, so there is lots of time to play along. Each of the Design Team Members, plus Carolyn and I, posted a challenge and there are prizes to be won!
I chose a Summer Color Challenge using this photo for inspiration:
We had just received an amazing line from Authentique at the store, Gathering, and the colors felt really Summery, so I used it to create this layout:
The background paper is from MME and it proved to be the perfect backdrop for my summer photo! I had fun playing with all sorts of bits and pieces of die-cuts, quotes, printed tape, dew drops, paint, border punches, and stitching :)
If you are sitting at home wondering what to do this weekend, why not join in the fun on the Forum? We would love to have you participate in the crop!

Little Red Wagon #121
Regan has challenged us to use chipboard on our project this week! I have a tonne of chipboard in my wagon so this was a great challenge for me.
I had some printed chipboard from American Crafts that I thought would work well for a card, so I started with that. I paired it with paper from Lily Bee Design, Memorandum, and added some ribbon and a button from my wagon.
I printed the sentiment on my computer using 2 Peas Scrapbook Font. A little bit of stitching added the finishing touch and there you have it! Try to pop on over to Little Red Wagon to see some amazing creations using chipboard! You are sure to be inspired :)

Little Red Wagon #120
Happy Wednesday! It is time for a fun challenge at Little Red Wagon!
Judy has posted her first challenge as a Design Team member and she wants us to use three stars on our project. Well... I used more than three, but I am sure she will forgive me!
I used a tag from My Minds Eye that already had stars on it and I combined it with a larger 3-dimensional star that I made.
Easy, peasy, simple and fun! So why not get creative with some twinkling stars and head over to Little Red Wagon to join in the fun? We would love to see your creation!

Valentine Blog Hop
Welcome to my blog - your 4th stop on the Valentine Blog Hop with Two Scrapbook Friends! You should have arrived here from Jayne's Blog.
I hope you are enjoying all the wonderful Valentine ideas that you are seeing along the way and that you are remembering to comment on each blog to qualify for a great prize from Two Scrapbook Friends! Also, don't forget to keep track of the red highlighted word on each blog and to email the phrase that they make to 2friends@execulink.com. If you do, you will qualify for a second chance to win the prize!
For our Blog Hop I decided to make a heart banner. I saw a similar idea on the internet and thought I would give it a try. The unique thing about this banner is that it has photo strips on it! What a great way to personalize a project!
What you need to start with are 4 x 6 photos that have six 2 x 2-inch photos on each.
Cut the strips apart so you have two strips with three photos on each one.
Then you need to cut pattern paper strips that measure 2 x 6 inches. I decided to go with a red/white/black color scheme for this project. Attach one pattern paper strip to the back of each photo strip.
Then with the photo strips facing each other, place a piece of Terrifically Tacky Tape, or other strong adhesive, across the top of one strip. Adhere the photo strips together so the photos are facing each other.
Then with the two strips adhered together, punch a hole about 3/4-inch down from the top. Add another adhesive strip across the bottom of the pattern paper, then bend the strips with the photos to the outside and adhere the strips together. This will crate the heart shape.
I did 4 hearts with photos (one for each of us in our family) and then I made 5 with just pattern paper and alternated them on my banner. You can then add a decorative edge to the bottom of your hearts. When your hearts are all done, thread a long piece of ribbon through the holes in each heart to create your banner!
I hope you liked this project idea! I think it would be perfect not only for Valentines Day, but possibly for a bridal shower, a baby shower, an anniversary, or any other special celebration!
So remember, in order to be entered to win:
1. Leave a comment on all the blogs as you go and then go back to the Two Scrapbook Friends blog and leave a final comment there.
2. To have a second chance to win, keep track of the HIGHLIGHTED WORDS from each blog and email the phrase to 2friends@execulink.com. Put "Blog Contest" in your subject line.
3. Check back at the Two Scrapbook Friends blog on February 14th to see if you are the winner. (Winners will not be contacted personally.)
Here are the featured blogs in our Valentine's Blog Hop:
So your next blog will be Sharlene's! I know she has something special waiting to show you! Thanks for hopping by :)

Little Red Wagon #119
This week's challenge at Little Red Wagon is Cupid's Arrow! We are supposed to create something with an arrow on it.
I decided to create a Valentine's Day card (I know... a pretty obvious choice!)
I started with a Doodlebug Create a Card card base in red. I embossed the front with a Cuttlebug embossing folder, added some ribbon, a button and some bakers twine. Then I used some SRM Stickers for the sentiment behind the window.
I added an embossed arrow to the middle section of the card...
... and finished with another sticker on the inside of the card.
I even had a sweet little heart sticker left over that I put on the back of the card!
Do try to visit the Little Red Wagon Blog this week and join in on the fun! We always love to see what you create :)

Yankee Doodles
I had papers from the Yankee Doodles line by We R Memory Keepers that I have been wanting to play with for a long time. So, I finally dug out some photos and had some fun!
I did some misting on the background and then I created a banner that mimicked the flags on the porch in the top photo. A couple of buttons, a bit of distressing and a nice big star brad added the finishing details. I just love how it all came together! Thanks for looking :)

ATC Swap
When this year started, I thought I would choose a word for the year instead of making a list of resolutions that I would never keep. The idea of picking a word to embrace in the new year has become popular within the scrapbooking community and I thought I would give it a try.
As 2012 approached and I started to consider which word I would pick, the word Hope came to my mind. I wasn't sure if that was the word I wanted, but for the next couple of days I seemed to see the word Hope everywhere I looked. While it was not a word that I would have chosen for myself, I felt that the word was meant for me. So Hope and I will travel through this year together.
I knew that many other people would be choosing a word for themselves and I had the idea of doing an ATC Swap that would revolve around our special word. So I initiated an ATC (Artist Trading Card) Swap on the Two Scrapbook Friends Forum and 11 lovely ladies decided to join in! We had the month of January to design and create our cards that would include our word and then this past week we had our swap.
This is what I created...
... and here is my box of 12 all ready for the swap!
The cards I received are all incredibly beautiful and I plan to put them into a frame to display in my home. A frame filled with inspiration and meaning will be my special blessing throughout this year! Thank you to each of the ladies that I did the swap with! Thank you for sharing your words and for creating such pretty cards.
As soon as my frame is finished, I will take a picture and share it with you. In the meantime, I Hope you have a new year filled with the best of the best!

Little Red Wagon #118
Happy Wednesday! Jan posted her first challenge as a Little Red Wagon DT member today and she wants us to create something with a Valentine's Day or love theme.
I made a fun shaker card for a class I am teaching next week at TSF, and since I love it so much I decided to post it for this challenge!
I made a fun shaker card for a class I am teaching next week at TSF, and since I love it so much I decided to post it for this challenge!
I started with an stamp from Whipper Snapper Designs (love them!) and colored him with my Copic markers. Then I created a shaker element using Shake It! products from Impression Obsession.
I created the front of the card using cardstock and a fab heart embossing folder. Then some ribbon, a tiny safety pin, twine and a little sentiment I created on my computer.
Be sure to hop on over to Little Red Wagon to see what the other Girlfriends created! I am sure you will love what they made :)
