I had papers from the Yankee Doodles line by We R Memory Keepers that I have been wanting to play with for a long time. So, I finally dug out some photos and had some fun!

I am still scrapbooking a trip we took to Mackinac Island a couple of years ago and this paper was perfect for my photos!
I did some misting on the background and then I created a banner that mimicked the flags on the porch in the top photo. A couple of buttons, a bit of distressing and a nice big star brad added the finishing details. I just love how it all came together! Thanks for looking :)
Beautiful layout Joanne!

ReplyDeleteOh yes the banners just fit perfectly for this Americanized layout! I have seen the "flag banner" so many times when I studied in Washington DC.

Just love how the banner matches the bunting in the photo!
