Little Red Wagon #42

This weeks challenge at Little Red Wagon was posted by Regan (Carolyn went AWOL!). She challenged us to make an altered item.

I was really excited by this challenge as I had made a cake shaped box a while ago and I was just waiting to put a few finishing touches on it and post it!

I didn't use a template for the cake. I just cut some chipboard to make the shape and then I used pattern paper and cardstock to cover it. For the icing I used Bloomers ribbon from Webster's Pages - perfect!

I also made up a little card to go with it.

I used alpha stickers from Echo Park and 'cake' was cut with my Cricut. I put Glossy Accents on 'cake' and it looks totally yummy!

Be sure to check out Little Red Wagon this week and try to join in the fun!

  1. The cake box is awesome Joanne. I can't believe you didn't use a template....that's the sort of foolish thing I would do, just to make things a little more interesting!(lol)

  2. Totally adorable! I so could almost take a bite!

  3. oh my, this is so cute. Are you saving this for my birthday next year?

Thank you for your lovely comments!
