Regan issued the challenge at Little Red Wagon this week and she chose paint. This is what I love about being a part of Little Red Wagon. Sometimes when the challenges are posted, I get really stuck for an idea. When I saw this week's challenge I thought "yuck!". I am not a fan of using paint on my projects. And it took me until 9:30 last night to think of what I could do with it.
BUT - the great part is that it made me think outside the box! It made me scrap outside the lines! So this is what I came up with.
I hand drew a template for the base of the card and cut it out of Kraft cardstock. Then I added some lines with my Scor-Pal and inked it for better definition. Then I cut out the top using some fab new paper from My Minds Eye - Alphabet Soup! (If you haven't seen this new line from MME you really have to check it out. Most of the prints are small and perfect for card making!)
Now for the paint part - I found a small chipboard heart and painted it red! (I know, not too original, but it worked perfectly!) To finish the card off, I added a little bling from Queen and Co. to the heart and a sentiment with October Afternoon alpha stickers.
Thanks Regan for a wonderful challenge! Keep them coming!
