Here goes:
- Use pink (I am a girly girl and I LOVE pink!)
- Add scallops (with scissors, a border punch, die-cut paper, etc.)
- Add a tag (just for fun)
- Enjoy the creative process as much as the finished card!
The ice cream paper from My Minds Eye was my inspiration! I used BoBunny Double-Dot cardstock and a Fiskars border punch for the scoops of ice cream (how yummy!) and BoBunny ribbon. Then I used a stamp from CTMH to create the pattern on the cone. To finish I used Crystal Lacquer on the scoops and cone and inked everything with Vintage Photo Distress Ink. The inside of my card says, "I hope you have a triple-scoop day!"
Why don't you join in by creating a card this week using my challenge? Then hop over to Use It! and post a comment. I would love to see what you create!

ReplyDeleteoh my heck...this is ADORABLE!!!
ReplyDeleteI also love pink and scallops..I am all over this one
Lovely - I may have to scraplift this design.......lol
ReplyDeleteWow gorgeous, the details! Can't wait to play!
ReplyDeleteLove your card. I think I am going to give this a try!!
ReplyDeleteLove your card, did you use a die cut for the ice cream and cone? Also, is the picture at the top of your blog actually your porch? How welcoming.
ReplyDeleteHi Nancy!
ReplyDeleteFor the ice cream scoops, I took a circle and cut off a portion to get a straight line. Then I used a Fiskars border punch to create the scallop. For the cone, I just cut a long triangle and stamped some irregular circles on it.
Unfortunately, the porch is not my own. It is a photo I took of one of the cottages on Mackinac Island, Michigan. How I wish it were mine!
