Mexican Adventure - Part I

I finally downloaded and sorted through most of the photos we took on our trip to Mexico. I want to do a couple of blog posts as a type of travelogue to document our vacation - until I have time to scrapbook all of them!

We stayed at the Grand Palladium White Sands Resort and Spa located in one of the most beautiful areas in the Mexican Caribbean, the Mayan Riviera. It is a 5-star resort in every way and we had the most amazing time!

The Grand Palladium has 4 different resorts in one huge complex and we were able to take advantage of all 4 areas. We arrived late in the day on Sunday, July 3rd, and our first view of the resort was just as the sun was setting. By the time we checked in and were able to walk around, the pool and beach areas were quiet and we enjoyed a gorgeous evening stroll around the property. It was absolutely beautiful! We got 'lost' a few times, but we were having fun just finding our way around and taking in the beauty of everything.

:: one of the many bars ::

:: the pool area at night ::

The next morning we got a completely different perspective with the sun shining. We woke up early and again took a nice long walk before most of the other guests were out and about.

:: marble floors throughout the resort - indoors and out! ::

Our first view of the beach was breathtaking! The sun was shining so brightly on the water it was a bit hard to capture how pretty it was.

:: Mr. B found his spot right away ::

:: the wedding gazebo ::

:: walkway to the pool ::

:: a swim-up bar ::

:: the only photo you will see of me in a bathing suit! ::

:: enjoying a drink before dinner ::

This is just a small sampling of the many photos I took. Stay tuned for more of our Mexican adventure!
